Victoria Mullet, AMFT
Registered Associate Marriage & Family Therapist
Supervised by Theresa Martinez, LMFT
I am a registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT150509), supervised by Theresa Martinez, LMFT (LMFT131771) with lifelong residency in San Diego. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Psychology and completed my first Master's degree at San Diego State University, specializing in Education with a concentration in Counseling in a multicultural setting. Additionally, I possess a Restorative Justice Practices and Trauma-Informed Care certificate and have obtained a second Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from National University.
My background in fitness and yoga has provided me with a holistic and humanistic perspective on therapy, with a particular focus on ecopsychology. I have a passion for helping others become the best version of themselves. Therapy is a way to build a tool kit of coping skills to help your light shine through all life's stressors. I have a special place in my heart for working with children and adolescents and watching families grow together.
Clinical Experience
My clinical experience encompasses direct work with individuals, families, and couples within an inpatient behavioral health and addictive disorders facility. This role allowed me to interact with a diverse clientele reflecting various cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, inclusive of the LGBTQIA+ community, who live with ADHD, Autism, Depression, Anxiety, Adjustment Disorders, and PTSD. I maintain the perspective that disorders do not define individuals; instead, all individuals can foster resilience with appropriate resources and support.
I have led psychoeducational groups and employed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to facilitate healing among clients. Furthermore, I have discovered the effectiveness of Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT) and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) in aiding individuals to attain peace in the present moment.
I completed a 200-hour yoga teacher certification in Costa Rica through an intensive 30-day training program, which introduced me to ecopsychology and gave me a deeper appreciation of life. In my leisure time, I appreciate engaging with nature and fitness and enjoying moments of relaxation with my husband and children.
