Parent Consultation

Balancing the demands of work and family life with parenting can be challenging. These challenges can be intensified for your child due to issues like bullying, ADHD, anxiety, or depression. Child therapy can equip your child with coping mechanisms to manage these diagnoses and life stressors, thereby enhancing their well-being and that of your family. Parent consultations are available to facilitate your child's progress and create a calmer and more manageable home environment.

What is Child therapy like?

Child therapy sessions are designed to be engaging and beneficial, focusing on helping children understand their thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and coping mechanisms. Through activities like games, drawing, and writing, children develop these skills, build a positive rapport with their therapist, and experience active listening in a supportive environment. Parents are encouraged to maintain open communication with the therapist and stay informed about their child's treatment progress and goals.

Divorce

Divorce or separation can be a challenging time and children may need to adjust to the changes. Counseling can give extra support and assistance with confusing feelings for your child or children during this time to navigate family changes and remain healthy and balanced. Both parents with joint legal custody will need to consent to the child or children's treatment prior to the start of treatment. For current custody issues, it's recommended that children see therapists who specialize in custody arrangements and/or court procedures and can provide the necessary support for children during such a process.
