Clinical Experience
I became a licensed Marriage, Family, and Child therapist while working at a treatment center for substance abuse and worked with people who suffered from anxiety, various forms of Trauma, PTSD, depression, serious mental health disorders, self-esteem issues, food insecurity, homelessness, parenting challenges, infidelity, grief/bereavement, and involvement with the justice system. I was able to perform assessments for adults and children as well as counseling couples and families. I practice a strength based and client-centered approach while utilizing various evidence-based practices such as Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.
