Supervised by Meredith Hanna, LMFT (LMFT38770)
Hi, my name is Lauren and I am an Associate Professional Counselor (APCC17673) supervised by Meredith Hanna, LMFT (LMFT38770). I have obtained a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The University of Pittsburgh.
My approach to therapy is grounded in empathy, understanding, and evidence-based practices to help clients navigate difficult emotions, build resilience, and create meaningful change in their lives. I strive to meet clients where they are and provide support for their growth journey. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I am a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200) and employ mindfulness practices, breath work, and relaxation techniques in session, to help clients balance both body and mind.
Clinical Experience
My clinical experience includes adolescence and young adults experiencing depression, anxiety, ADHD, OCD, eating disorders, suicidal ideation and engaging in self harm behaviors. I have worked extensively with parents and families in collaborating to provide safe and supportive environments for children to flourish.
In my free time, I love to do yoga, surf, hike, and read. I love to write and can spend hours journaling when I get the time!
