Hello! My name is Kaylie Smith, and I am a Registered Associate Clinical Social Worker, ACSW #127846, supervised by Theresa Martinez, LMFT (LMFT131771) . I am from Reno, Nevada, where I was born and raised. I have worked with children and teens through my undergraduate and graduate programs and internships. As a therapist, I am here to better your mental health and be right by your side while you work toward the best version of yourself.
Clinical Experience
I completed my undergraduate and graduate degrees at the University of Nevada, Reno. I worked for Upward Bound Classic Math and Science, helping at-risk first-generation students navigate the process of attending college for the first time in their families. I also worked for a charter school under the school social worker, facilitating socio-emotional learning lessons (SEL) and meeting with students individually to help them work toward their educational goals, helping them to learn coping skills using cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), work with Anxiety, ADHD and Depression, as well as assess for suicidality. I love working with children and teen populations; it is so inspiring to be a mentor and to learn from those who are younger than us. I am in a constant state of learning and love to try new things. In my personal life, I love doing all art forms and spending time in my garden.
